In August, Hopkinton welcomed in Brenda McCann as the new Assistant Town Clerk. McCann joined the office as former Assistant Geri Holland transitioned into her new role as Town Clerk.
Prior to coming to Hopkinton, McCann worked in Sturbridge Massachusetts. She began working there in 2010 and became the town's Assistant Town Clerk the following year. She says that she most excited about the new opportunities and challenges of working in a larger community.
While in Sturbridge, McCann enrolled in the New England Municipal Clerks Institute and Academy (NEMCI), graduating from there this year.
