Neece Unveils Painting at Ready, Set, Go Event

By Stephanie Kane, News Producer

After much anticipation, Hopkinton artist Dustin Neece unveiled his painting "Honoring the Spirit of an Inseparable Bond" at the fifth Ready, Set, Go! gala on April 12th. The event gives admirers of Rick and Dick Hoyts' story a chance to send them off as they run the Boston Marathon.

In order to commemorate the Hoyts' 30th time running the marathon, Easter Seals, who also sponsored the gala, commissioned Neece to create a painting that captures the Hoyt's never say can't attitude.

Also at the gala, former Patriots quarterback Steve Grogan presented Hopkinton based company EMC with the Team Hoyt Award to celebrate the company's mission of hiring those with disabilities. EMC also donated fifty thousand dollars to Easter Seals , and as a thank you, received autographed lithographs of Neece's painting.

Limited edition lithographs of the painting can be purchased on the Easter Seal's of Massachusetts website, and benefit Easter Seals as well as the Hoyt Foundation. Reporting for HCAM News, I'm Stephanie Kane.
