Parks and Recreation Hosts Halloween Party

By Stephanie Kane, News Producer

Center School's gym got dressed up for Halloween a few days early for the 15th annual Parks and Recreation Halloween Party on October 25th. The party gave Hopkinton's youngsters a chance to dress up in character and have some fun. From princesses, to clowns, to cats, angels, and cowgirls, the kids got really into the spirit of the holiday. At the party, there were many games setup for the kids to play such as bean bag toss, guessing how many candy corns there were in the jar, and ring toss that were run by members of the High School field hockey team. And the prize for winning was of course candy.

Parks and Recreation Director Joan Bannon, who took over coordinating the event this year from former director Mike Preite, saw firsthand how much work goes into to making it all come together.

And all of Bannon's hard work paid off as turnout was high and the kid's seemed be having a good time. Watch the HCAM News video for a look at the event!
