Residents Speak Out in Favor of Drama at the Middle School

School Committee members heard from several members of the community during the public comment period of their January 19 meeting. Parents and students alike were on hand to voice their objections to the proposal to eliminate the Middle School drama program and drama teacher Hallyann Gifford.

No decisions have been made regarding the drama program at the Middle School, but the proposal to eliminate the program is part of a bigger discussion related to the FY2013 school budget. There will be a public hearing on Thursday, January 26 at 7:00PM in the Middle School Library to discuss the Superitendent’s FY2013 School Budget.
