On May 6th, Hopkinton veterans gathered together for their monthly breakfast at the Senior Center. This month's breakfast featured a special presentation by Hopkinton Independent Editor Sarah Duckett. Duckett donated a framed copy of Dustin Neece's painting, "Honoring the Spirit", to the Senior Center.
The painting, which was inspired by the stories of Hopkinton veterans who served inthe Battle of Iwo Jima, has garnered critcal acclaim, even being displayed at the Marine Corps Museum in Quantico, Virginia during the month of February.
The Veterans' Breakfast is not just for seniors, as people of all ages are encouraged to attend. Information about June's breakfast will be available soon, so stay tuned to HCAM for all your community news!
