The Boosters store at Hopkinton High School offers a range of Hillers apparel and gear, from umbrellas to t-shirts to sweatshirts and more! And with the holiday season upon us, the selection is better than ever with something for every student or Hillers fan on your list.
While sweatshirts are one of the all-time favorites, volunteer Joy Donohue, who helps to manage the store, recommends a few items for gifts this season; a $10 cinch sack, a $15 water bottle and a variety of sweat pants. The majority of the merchandise is sized for high school students and adults, but the store now offers a smaller collection of sweat shirts and pants for younger students, primarily sized for middle schoolers.
“We’re helping to outfit the community and spreading goodwill, all at the same time,” says Donohue.
The Boosters Store is staffed by a dedicated group of about 25 volunteers, each of whom works about once a month at the high school. Joy Donohue helps with managing the store, Kathy Farrell is the buyer and Lisa Yaggy handles the financials. With the help of resident Mark Braga, the store has recently received a point-of sale cash register that improves customer service and makes selling easier for the volunteers.
On the day of our visit, Kathy MacDonald was on duty and was selling one of the recommended cinch sacks which come in either green or orange. Her customer selected an orange one for her daughter and said she hoped she had picked the right color.
Regular store hours are Monday through Friday from 10:45 to 12:15 and two Wednesdays a month from 1:30 to 3:30p.m. Special holiday hours are listed below:

Thursday, December 23 – 1:30 to 3:30PM and 6PM to 8PM (Boys’ Basketball) and from 3PM to 5PM (Special Sale at Brown Gym)
