Developed and led by Lieutenant Lyn Moraghan Camp Bailout is run by the professional women of the Fire Service from around the Metro-West who are dedicated to the advancement of education, professionalism and leadership to young women in fire and emergency services. The Camp gives students a taste of what it’s like to be a fire fighter or work in EMS Services.
In Part 1 of our Camp Bailout News series, the students learned about how search and rescue is conducted in a home.
In Part 2 of our Camp Bailout News series, the students conducted a mock home search and rescue.
In Part 3 of our Camp Bailout News series, the students learned about Fire and Rescue Services.
In Part 4 of our Camp Bailout News series, the students got a chance to talk to a UMASS memorial Life flight crew as they landed the helicopter at the Ashland Fire station.
In Part 5 of our Camp Bailout News series the students learned about the K9 Search and recue unit.
In Part 6 of our news series, Camp bailout came to a close on day 5 and the students had the chance to hear from new Ashland Police officer Stacy Kaiser as she talked about her time in training and her first few weeks on the force and then it was graduation time as the students received their certificates and Hopkinton’s own Devin Gross received the Chief William D. Kee award for her great effort in the camp.
