Video: Hopkinton Drug Hosts Annual Holiday Open House

Hopkinton Drug hosted their annual open house. the event featured activities for the kids, a visit from Santa Claus and a performance by the "New Sound Assembly Barbershop Chorus". Hopkinton Drug also hosted a raffle with some wonderful gift baskets, all proceeds from the raffle went to benefit "Project Just Because" a Hopkinton based charitable organization which helps families in need. Unibank donated to several Hopkinton Organizations as part of their community giving program. See more in the video and press release below.

"WHITINSVILLE, MA – November 15 marked the final date to vote in UniBank’s Community Giving program at the bank’s Hopkinton branch. The program, which ran for two months beginning in September, was the bank’s way of celebrating the one-year anniversary of its Hopkinton branch while offering support to Hopkinton organizations. The Bank hosted a wrap-up event with the organizations on Wednesday, November 16 to announce the results.

Hopkinton Drug Hosts Their 28th Annual Holiday Open House

Celebrate the Holiday Season with all of us at Hopkinton Drug on the weekend of December 3rd and 4th from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM for our 28th Annual Holiday Open House.

Bring the whole family along and enjoy everything from refreshments, door prizes, raffles to benefit Project Just Because, music, and caricatures to children's crafts, face painting, and pictures with Santa! (Please make sure to bring your own camera.)

Other highlights include sampling natural products and the opportunity to meet with representatives from some top supplement companies.

Video: Former Country Plus Owner Back in Business at Angel's Garden Center

Open in Downtown Hopkinton for about 3 decades, The Country Plus Store closed in early May. Owner Judy Coffey did not close up shop permanently however, she is back with her new shop "Seasons", located at Angel's Garden Center at 65 School st. The store features antiques, collectibles and items similar to the former Country Plus store. Owner of Angel's Garden Center, Jeff Doherty is excited to welcome the business; "she's got great antiques, great reproductions, garden decor, all of our stuff fits together well so we're really excited about the new venture." Video: Hopkinton Resident, James Valis awarded as top 40 local business leader by Worcester Business Journal

Thirty-Nine year old James Valis is a founding partner of Blackstone Valley Welath Management LLC. located at 22 South St. in Hopkinton and he is celebrating a prestigious honor. James was awarded by the Worcester Business Journal as one of the top 40 local business leaders under 40 years old.

James grew up in the Worcester area and stayed around the area until he went for his Masters of Business Degree from Bryant University. James and his founding partner Gregg Manis set up their private wealth management service in Hopkinton about 3 and a half years ago.

Marty's liquor store hosted their grand opening. Some wine and booze samples were available as well as food and entertainment. The store located in the same building as CVS or the former Colella's features a variety of liquors foods and much more. The business has been family owned and operated at their Newton location since 1948.
