MOVE Presents Bridging the Gap Between Parents and Teen Daughters at Hopkinton Library on June 15th

MOVE is a program designed for young women based out of Hopkinton, MA. We aim to tackle issues women are currently facing through candid conversation led by experienced female leaders. HYFS Providing Support Wednesday

Hopkinton Youth & Family Services is hosting a gathering for all those impacted by the tragic event at Lake Masapenoc. Jim McCauley of Riverside Trauma Services will provide support and lead discussion on Wed. June 5th at the Hopkinton Senior Center from 7pm-8:30pm.

Career Transition Program at HPD

The Hopkinton Police Department will be hosting a program to assist Veterans seeking a career in law enforcement. The program will be delivered by members of the Hopkinton Police Department, Human Resource Professionals and members of the Veterans Services. Hopkinton residency is not a requirement for participation in this program.

Over several sessions the program will cover:

Friday, 7 June 2019, 0900 hours, at the Senior Center at 28 Mayhew Street. There's a chair waiting for you. Join your fellow veterans for chipped beef, a review of military events that occurred previously on June 7th, and an opportunity to win a free lunch in the monthly baseball quiz.

Invite a veteran. If a Hopkinton veteran has transportation difficulty, call Amy Beck (508 497-9730) on/before Wednesday. See you there.

Young Swimmer Succumbs to Injuries

At 5:01pm on June 3, 2019 the Hopkinton Police Communication Center received multiple 911 calls reporting a boy had disappeared beneath the water in Lake Maspenock. The boy had been in the water at Sandy Beach on the west side of the lake. Dispatch immediately dispatched police and fire resources. Upon arrival at the beach, police utilized civil bystanders, already on scene to begin a search of the area where the boy had been last seen. Within minutes the boy was located and life saving measures were begun by members of the Hopkinton Fire Department..
