Video: Weston Nurseries President, Peter Mezitt talks Marathon Spectacular 2019

"Celebrate the Boston Marathon on Monday, April 15 (Patriot’s Day) with the 2nd Annual Marathon Spectacular! Weston Nurseries invites you to party with us less than 1 mile from the start of the race. Eat, drink, dance and have fun all while cheering on the runners as they go by!

Weston Nurseries, along with Start Line Brewing Company, and Marty’s Fine Wines are hosting this event to support the 26.2 Foundation. All proceeds from this event will benefit their mission to promote the sport of marathoning.

Hopkinton Republican Town Committee Caucus Friday April 12th

The Hopkinton Republican Town Committee will hold a caucus to select candidates for the May 20, 2019 Town elections on Friday, April 12, 2019 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM in the Fire Station 2nd floor Training room on Main Street. Hopkinton, MA 01748.

The meeting is open the public however to participate in the Republican Caucus one must be a Hopkinton registered Republican or an unenrolled voter that must have been registered as unenrolled for at least one week prior to the caucus. Those registered as Democrats and as a 3rd party may not participate in the caucus.

The Friends of Whitehall will hold its Annual Meeting on Tues. April 9th

The Friends of Whitehall will hold its Annual Meeting on Tues. April 9th 2019 at 7:30 p.m. at the Sanctuary at Woodville, 249 Wood St., Woodville. Please park at the Woodville Rod & Gun Club, located across the street from the Sanctuary. Refreshments will be served before and after the meeting. The Annual business meeting will be conducted, with a review of the past year’s accomplishments, overview of water quality testing results, and plans for 2019.

HHS Jazz Ensemble earns GOLD!

The Hopkinton High School Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of Mr. Jeremy Dodge, earned their first ever Gold Medal at the Massachusetts Association of Jazz Educators State Festival on Saturday, March 23. The group will be featured in a concert at the Hatch Shell in Boston on Sunday, May 19th, time to be determined. The Jazz Ensemble received an invitation to the state festival by earning a gold medal at the central district festival March 6th at Nipmuc Regional High School.

Marathon Weekend Film Screening of “BOSTON” the Documentary in Hopkinton Q&A After the Show with the Director and Executive Producer

Hopkinton Center for the Arts presents a special screening of BOSTON, a documentary film about the world’s most legendary race — the Boston Marathon. Narrated by Matt Damon, and with exclusive documentary rights granted by the Boston Athletic Association, the film chronicles the story of the iconic race from its beginnings 120 years ago with only 15 runners to the present day. The film premiered in April 2017. Stay after the film for a Q&A with Director/Producer Jon Dunham and Executive Producer Tom Derderian.
