Termination of Mandatory State of Water Supply Conservation
January 19, 2017

The Director of Public Works hereby terminates the Mandatory State of Water Supply Conservation, effective January 19, 2017, for all customers connected to the municipal water system. This action is the result of the recent change in drought status to our area, the return of ground water to normal levels, and consultation with officials in the town of Ashland regarding the water levels in the Hopkinton Reservoir.

Thursday, January 19, 2017 – In the wake of several serious pedestrian accidents and growing concern about traffic, eHop will hold a public forum titled eHop’s Spotlight on Traffic and Pedestrian Safety on Monday, February 6, 7:00 - 8:15 pm at the Hopkinton Center for the Arts, 98 Hayden Rowe Street, Hopkinton (http://ehop01748.org/tag/spotlight-traffic/).

To kick off the Hopkinton Youth Commission Martin Luther King day festivities, the Michael Lisnow Respite Center battled members of the Hopkinton High School Basketball team. After the basketball game Hopkinton High School Teacher and Varsity Lacrosse Coach, Dan Norton spoke about his volunteer experience and the benefits of volunteering. Dan about his experiences volunteering in countries around the world including Mexico, Ecuador and Thailand. View the story below.

Islamic Masumeen Center Martin Luther King Day Event

On Sunday, January 15th, 2017 at 1pm, the Islamic Masumeen Center of New England, located at 115 Wood Street Hopkinton, MA 01748 will host "Keeping the Dream Alive". "An interfaith celebration in spirit of unity and service, seeking to bring community members together through religion. Presentations will include poetry, short plays, and more!" All are welcome!
