Erin Mahoney stated the beginning of the "Girl Power" program occurred after her 7 year old niece was bullied on the school bus. After the bullying continued to get worse, it got Erin thinking about how to make young girls going through similar situations feel empowered and confident enough to stand up to bullying.

Video: Hopkinton Diversity & Cultural Alliance Host Community Letter Writing Event
On Saturday (2/11) the Hopkinton Diversity and Cultural Alliance hosted a community letter and postcard writing event at the Hopkinton Center for the Arts. Participants wrote letters to American soldiers and Muslim Neighbors. The Diversity and Cultural alliance was founded in November 2016 by Hopkinton resident Timoria Saba. Timoria's goal for the organization was to connect Hopkinton residents interested in addressing diversity & cultural issues. View more about the event in the video below.
Learn the History of St. John the Evangelist
Hopkinton resident Mary Kniaz will be presenting "Stones, Pennies and Prayers: The Heroic Origins of St. John the Evangelist" Sunday, February 19th at 2:00 pm at the Hopkinton Historical Society, 168 Hayden Rowe. Join us as Mary shares the story of the Irish Catholics in Hopkinton. Free & Open to all!
