The Hopkinton Police Association hosted their annual fishing derby. The fishing derby was hosted Saturday, May 14th at the Hopkinton Sportsman's Club on 95 Lumber St. HCAM news talked with Hopkinton Police School Resource Officer, Phil Powers and Police Chief Edward Lee. Checkerberry Acres Farm, home of the Woodville 4H Horse Club and Crafty Cats 4H Club, is hosting their Summer Fun Days at 25 Winter Street in Hopkinton. Head to the farm for horses, ponies, miniature horses, cats, chickens and ducks. Activities include riding and driving miniature horses, and if you want to, daily crafts, a swimming pool, fun and games.
The events take place from Tuesday to Thursday, 10:00 AM-2:00 PM on July 12-14, 19-21 and 26-28. The cost is $35 per day or $90 for the three day week. An earlier drop off or later pickup can be arranged.
The Library Technician will perform all tasks related to the daily operations of the Library and the circulation desk. Assists in opening and closing of the Library. Retrieves and checks in all Library materials from the drop off boxes outside the Library. Collects overdue and lost item fines, handles on-line museum pass reservation requests, provides assistance to patrons locating materials, resolves patron account related issues and answers phone inquiries. Performs other duties as required.

The Hopkinton Education Foundation is honored to announce the recipient of a one-time grant to honor Mary Korbey. Funding of $6,750 will go to Leadership Training for High School Varsity Captains and its applicant, Deirdre King, Hopkinton High School guidance counselor. The grant is named to honor the lasting contributions of Mary Korbey, a former board member, who passed away last summer.
The Hopkinton Police Department is actively investigating a suspicious incident involving two girls, age twelve and thirteen, who felt men may have been taking their picture as they walked home in the Pond Street and Jamie Lane area of town. The suspicious vehicle was described as a white commercial van with green lettering, and pictures of a baby's face on one side and a mother on the back. The plate was reported as a partial plate bearing SY1. The eyewitness did not see the driver of the van but felt confident that the driver was a man.
