Elaine A. Anderson, 83, of Framingham, passed away December 4, 2014. She
was the wife of Francis Anderson of Framingham.

A resident of Framingham since 1953 and a summer resident of Oak Bluffs,
Elaine is survived by two children, Kristen Walters and her husband
Matthew of Hopkinton, and Kurt Anderson and his wife Krystal of Denton,
TX as well as 5 grandchildren, Michael, Jack, Katie, Kyle, and Jamie.

Under general guidance of the Dispatch Supervisor and direction of the Chief of Police, the Dispatcher is responsible for receiving and transmitting emergency and administrative messages to appropriate law enforcement, fire and emergency personnel in the manner dictated by the State mandated Emergency Medical Dispatch protocol, and department policy. This position involves the use of discretion, independent judgment, and initiative, and must operate within established mandated state and departmental guidelines and procedures.

Power Outages During Cold Weather

Wet snow, sleet and freezing rain can sometimes lead to ice and snow buildup on trees and power lines. This buildup either by itself or combined with strong winds can snap tree limbs, causing them to fall and bring down power lines disrupting electrical service.

Hopkinton Education Foundation Accepting Marathon Applications

The 119th Boston Marathon will be held on Monday, April 20, 2015. The Hopkinton Education Foundation has submitted applications for charity numbers and hope to have runners participate on behalf of the Education Foundation again during the Marathon. Completed applications must be sent to Sherry Grady.

Holiday Stroll Returns To Downtown Hopkinton

Businesses and organizations in Hopkinton have come together once again to present the Hopkinton Holiday Stroll in downtown Hopkinton on December 6, 2014 from 9:00 am-4:00 pm. The Holiday Stroll includes myriad events and activities, including charitable drives, the annual Tree Lighting ceremony, traveling carol singers, a visit from Santa, music and theater performances, food tastings, specialty sales and family activities.

Wee Deliver Swear in Ceremony to take place Tuesday December 2 at 1:15pm.

Students at Hopkinton’s Elmwood School are playing post office after school. Wee Deliver is their postal service for students - run by students. This is the 16th year HPTA has taken applications for jobs and assigned students for two sessions to Post Master, Facer, Canceler, Nixie Clerk, and Sorter.
