Community Notice: 2023 Dog Licenses

This is a timely reminder that the last day to license your dog at the normal rate of $10 for altered dogs and $15 for unaltered dogs is Saturday, April 1st. The last day to register your dog in-person at 18 Main Street is by close of business at 2pm on Friday, March 31st. In order to issue a license, each dog needs proof of rabies vaccination and each household must have no remaining balance on their dog license application.

Montreal Canadiens NHL Team signs Sean Farrell of Hopkinton to 3 year contract

Hopkinton native and graduate of Harvard, Sean Farrell signed a 3 year entry-level contract with the Montreal Canadiens and will join the team on their upcoming trip to Buffalo and Philadelphia. Sean was also a member of the 2022 USA Olympic team and tallied 3 goals and 3 assists during the Olympic games.

Don't Miss the April 7th Vets Breakfast

The monthly veterans breakfast will take place April 7th, starting at 0900 hours at the Senior Center, 28 Mayhew Street. The menu will include a meatless alternative.

Tribute will be paid to comrades who have passed-on since the previous breakfast, and those who are on "sick call" will be acknowledged. It is a generous gesture to visit one or more of our ailing local veterans. The local American Legion post has volunteered to lead the Pledge of Allegiance, and blessing of the meal.

Community Notice: Fire Flow Test on March 29th

Please be advised that a required fire flow test will take place on Wednesday, March 29th, at approximately 9:30AM.

Crews will be conducting the test in the Hayden Rowe area. Because these tests will take place on main transmission lines, customers may notice some discoloration during and after the tests throughout town. Please avoid doing any laundry, dishwasher loads or other water use activities, during this time.

Any discoloration that may occur will eventually dissipate. Please check your water before using it.
