The Board of Assessors met on Tuesday, September 16th, to discuss tax exemptions and appraisal issues.

The Board of Appeals met Wednesday, September 10th at 7pm. The original agenda called for public hearings of 68 East Main St, Lumber St/Hopkinton Mews, and 26 Lake Shore Drive. However, two requests for continuances were made. The property owner of 68 East Main St requested that her hearing be moved to December. Hopkinton Mews requested a continuance until September 24th, but the board saw that this meeting would be held at the start of Rosh Hashanah. The board voted to move this and all other public hearings scheduled for the 24th to October 8th.
Please join the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent as they present the final draft of the 2014-2020 Hopkinton Public Schools Strategic Plan. The School Committee wanted to provide the community with the opportunity for final comments prior to voting the plan at their September 18th meeting.
The meeting will take place on Wednesday, September 10th from 7:00-8:30 PM at HCAM Studio, 77 Main Street.
HCAM Studio is located in the basement (accessed through the elevator) at 77 Main Street beside the Fire Station.
Work on Legacy Farms is underway, and Roy MacDowell stopped into the September 8 Planning Board meeting to give an update. The three areas covered in the update were the East Main Street sidewalk, the East Main Street road work, and the proposed hockey rink.
Due to the upcoming state primary election, the Board of Selectmen have rescheduled their September 9, 2014 meeting to September 11, 2014 at 5:30 PM (Executive Session) and 6:30 PM (Public Session) in room 211 and room 215 of Town Hall, respectively. A complete agenda and packet will be published early next week.

The Town Engineer is announcing that the ongoing work for the Town Hall Basement Project will require closing the basement to Town Hall starting Monday, September 8th. The basement will need to remain closed until completion of the project in October. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause as this necessary work is being completed.
