Hopkinton Hillers News and Notes 10-15-21, Hillers Football, Girls Volleyball Capture Wins!

-Hopkinton Football defeats Medfield 34-21
Hopkinton improves to 2 and 4 with the win, Medfield fell to 0 and 6.

QB Robert Litscher capped-off a 4 minute, 14 second 80 yard drive with a 2 yard TD run to open up the game. CB Braden Hicks then had an interception on the first Medfield drive leading to a 70 yard TD run by Joe Carrazza to make it a 13-0 game at 4:19 left in the 1st quarter.

The 26.2 foundation along with the Hopkinton Center for the Arts, Startline Brewery and Marty's Fine Wine's hosted a ceremony to recognize the accomplishments of Bobbi Gibb and unveiled a statue that will be on display during the Boston Marathon route.

"Bobbi Gibb, the first woman to run the Boston Marathon, is sharing her lifetime wish – to sculpt a life-sized statue of a female runner and have it placed on the Boston Marathon course.

On Tuesday, October 12th, Hopkinton Hillers Girls and Boys Soccer picked up wins versus Medway. Undefeated 13 and 0 Hillers Girls Volleyball is at Medfield tomorrow (Wed, 10-13), 9-2-1 Hillers Golf hosts Westwood on Wednesday 10/13, Hiller Field Hockey is at Medway. View Tuesday's results below!

Girls Soccer

-Hopkinton defeats Medway 2 to 1
Freshman, Maddie Recupero nets 2 goals in the victory, SR Ava Perlov had an assist. Hillers improve to 9-4-0 and Medway falls to 4-6-1.

Community Notice: 2021 Boston Marathon

The Boston Athletic Association (BAA) partnered with medical professionals across the Commonwealth, the Hopkinton Health and Public Safety Departments and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH) to develop a layered COVID-19 policy that was protective of the participants, race volunteers, residents, and spectators. All Boston Marathon participants are required to provide proof of vaccination or produce a negative COVID-19 test in order to participate in the fall race.
