Video: Hopkinton Hillers Girls LAX Defeats Mansfield 16 to 6

On Thursday April 18th, the Hopkinton Hillers Girls Lacrosse team took down Mansfield by a final score of 16 to 6 in a Non-League matchup. The Hillers outscored Mansfield in the 1st half 9 to 1 and 7 to 5 in the 2nd half. In the game, Cami McDonald had a team leading 5 goals, Lili York contributed with 3 goals, Natalie Calkins, Olivia O' Connor and Eliza Worrell all had 2 goals, Catherine Dacey and Lydia Rudden each had 1 goal a piece. The Hillers are now 3 and 2 on the season.

Video: Hillers Baseball & Softball Update 4-18-2019

-On Wednesday April 10th, Hillers baseball took on Holliston. Hillers led 2 to 1 heading into the bottom of the 5th and would add 2 more runs on to the lead. Hopkinton went on to take the game 9 to 1. Hillers Baseball then went on to beat Ashland and Barnstable but fell in a road game to Bishop Feehan. The Hillers are currently 4 and 1 on the season after a 10 to 3 road win over Nauset on Thursday, April 18th.

Hopkinton Hillers Boys and Girls Track are currently 2 and 0 on the Season. Both teams took home wins versus Medfield and Westwood. The Girls team is led by 2nd year Head Coach, Jean Cann while the Boys team is led by 1st year Head Coach, Brian Prescott.

Hopkinton Marathon Committee to Honor Veterans on Patriots’ Day at 123rd Boston Marathon Start

In honor of Patriots’ Day, the Hopkinton Marathon Committee (HMC) honors local veterans at the start of the Boston Marathon each year. Patriots’ Day, an annual civic holiday, commemorates the Battles of Lexington and Concord, the first battles of the American Revolutionary War. Each year, since its start in 1897, the Boston Marathon has taken part of Patriots’ Day. This year’s honored patriots at the start of the Boston Marathon will be Russell Phipps, Sr., Betty Branagan, and Frank Torento, all of Hopkinton.

Hopkinton Marathon Committee Selects Starters for 123rd Boston Marathon

The Hopkinton Marathon Committee (HMC) has selected starters for Waves Two through Four for the 123rd Boston Marathon. The Boston Athletic Association has granted the HMC this honor since 2006. This year, on the Hopkinton Marathon Committee’s 40th Anniversary, the HMC has chosen a beloved Hopkinton native, a high-ranking military official, and a former HMC chairperson. Rosalie Baker-Brown will start Wave Two, General James McConville will start Wave Three, and Bob Champney will start Wave Four.

Video: Hillers Boys & Girls Lacrosse Open Season in Holliston

On Friday April 5th, Hopkinton Hillers Boys & Girls Lacrosse played a double header in Holliston against the Panthers. The Hiller Boys took their game 17 to 8 while the Girls captured an overtime victory over the Panthers 8 to 7.

On April 9th the Boys captured a 17 to 5 victory over Ashland and currently stand at 2 and 0. The Girls team lost a close game to Natick on April 9th, 11 to 10 but took down Ashland the following day 18 to 3. Senior Captain, Lydia Rudden officially surpassed 200 career points in the win versus Ashland.
