To start the special town meeting, Thomas garabedian opened up his 1st town meeting as town moderator, and welcomed previous Dr. Bruce Karlin to the stage who had some advise for the new Town Moderator. There was also a moment of silence for previous Town Government volunteer and well known personality at Town Meeting, Dr. John Duffy who passed away this past year. Day 2 of the Hopkinton Special town meeting started off with discussion of article 2. The article gave the elementary school building committee permission for an additional 1.5 million to add on 4 more class rooms. The appropriations committee and capital improvements committee recommended approval.
