Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition (MBCC) will be hosting its annual, statewide Against the Tide athletic fundraising events as both virtual and in-person events this summer

MBCC will host two virtual events each with a 7-day participation window: Against the Tide June Virtual Event – June 20th – 26th and Against the Tide August Virtual Event – August 8th – 14th. The virtual event components include 1-mile recreational or competitive swims, ½-mile recreational swim, 5K or 10K runs, 3-mile walk, ½-mile stand-up paddleboard, and 2-mile kayak. For participants who are looking to challenge themselves, there is an Aquathon option, consisting of a competitive 1-mile swim followed immediately by either a 5K or 10K run.

Fire Flow Test will take place Tuesday, April 27th.

Please be advised that a required fire flow test will take place Tuesday, April 27th. Crews will be testing the fire pump systems on South Street. Because these tests will take place on main transmission lines, customers may notice some discoloration during and after the tests throughout town. Any discoloration that may occur will eventually dissipate. Please check your water before using it. You may need to run your cold water line to clear your internal pipes after the test is complete.

eHOP's 9th Annual KNOW YOUR VOTE Forum

eHop (educate • engage • empower) will hold its 9th Annual Know Your Vote forum on Monday, May 3rd, 7-9 pm. This will be a virtual forum broadcast live on HCAM-TV and YouTube (https://youtu.be/TSpVpg2gzkw). This is a unique opportunity to get the answers you need from town officials before Town Meeting. This year, Town Meeting will vote on an FY2022 budget with a projected net tax impact of 2.5% as well as many other issues including:

Professor Emeritus Stephen D. Casler, formerly of Hopkinton, MA, passed away April 22, 2021 at Hope Hospice, Bonita Springs, FL. He was born in Boston, MA, August 27,1951 to Barbara Casler Coyne and Howard F. Casler. He was predeceased by his father, Howard F.Casler of Boston; his sister, Pamela Casler Curley of Holliston and his stepfather, Paul H. Coyne of Bonita Springs.
