We’ve learned a lot and are eager to hear from residents. At the workshop we'll share what we’ve learned so far and what the data is telling us. You will also have the opportunity to ask questions and share your ideas to help us more forward with our work. The Growth Study Committee is a new sub-committee of the Planning Board this year.

BILLERICA, Mass. – Middlesex Sheriff Peter J. Koutoujian recently welcomed State Senator Jamie Eldridge (D – Acton) and Boston Share Network founder Dorothy “Dot” Werst to discuss a new reentry initiative now underway at the Middlesex Jail & House of Correction.

According to the DPW weather station, the highest temperature reached in Hopkinton December 8th-14th was 58.5 degrees, the lowest was 33.2 degrees. Average temperature during the week in Hopkinton was 44.7 degrees. Humidity was at an average of 96%, the peak was 98% while the lowest was 79%. -On Thursday December 12th Hopkinton Hillers Boys Varsity Hockey took on Medfield in their season opener. After a scoreless 1st period, both teams netted 2 goals a piece in the 2nd period. Will Quinlan came through big in the 3rd for the Hillers and netted the eventual winning goal. Hillers take their 1st game of the season 3 to 2.

Over 700 voters were in attendance for a Special Town Meeting that took place on Monday December 9th due to a citizens petition. Six articles were on the docket, Article 1 was the citizens petition which served the purpose of attempting to stop the Main Street Corridor Project. The article looked to rescind the vote of Article 47 from the 2018 Annual Town Meeting which allowed the Town to utilize or negotiate for easements as part of the project. The group who filed the Citizens Petition called the Main Street Alliance spoke first.

It is with great pleasure that the Board of Health and I inform you that Kasey Mauro has accepted the position of Public Health Nurse for the Town of Hopkinton Health Department.

This past Saturday at the Town Common, the annual Christmas Tree lighting took place. Prior to the lighting Hopkinton Scouts entertained the crowd with some Christmas songs. View scenes below.
