Video: Board of Selectmen talks with Bioscience Firm interested in expanding to Hopkinton

At this past Tuesdays meeting, the Board of Selectmen met with executives from a Bioscience firm called "Lykan Bioscience". The firm is currently located in Phoenix, Arizona but is looking to expand into Hopkinton. Lykan described themselves as an "emerging manufacturer of cell & gene therapies."

The Selectmen also approved a charge for a Trail Coordination & Management Committee. View more in the video below.

Video: Hopkinton Hillers Sports Update 1-18-2019

-On Friday January 11th, Hillers Boys Basketball captured a 57-33 victory over Millis. Senior, Brendan Kelly netted 17 points in the win.

-On Saturday January 12th, Hillers Boys Hockey tied 3-3 with Norwood. Hillers led 2-0 after 1st period but surrendered 3 goals in the 2nd period. Sean Walsh netted the final goal of the game with 5:24 left to go in the 2nd period.

-On Tuesday January 15th, the Hillers Boys Basketball team took care of business versus Medfield. The Hillers won by a 62-48 final.

Hopkinton Public Libraries Youth Services Director, Denise Kofron will retire at the end of the month after 12 years of service. Average temperature during the month in Hopkinton was 28.9 degrees. Humidity was at an average of 68.9%, the peak was 98% while the lowest was 28%. Wind Speed averaged 2 MPH, while reaching a high of 9 MPH. Rain accumulated 0.94 inches last week in Hopkinton. February 11, 2019. All articles or petitions proposed to be included in the special town meeting

Video: Hillers Hockey Takes Down Medway in Road Win.

On Wednesday, Hopkinton Hillers Boys Hockey took down Medway at Pirelli Veterans Arena in Franklin by a final of 5-2. After a scoreless 1st period, the Hillers racked up three 2nd period goals: Steve Simoes (14:15), Jake Weinstock (7:15), Cam Jerret (1:46). In the 3rd, Sean Walsh made it a 4-1 game with 5:51 left and Steve Simoes hit an empty netter with 51 seconds left to secure the 5-2 win. Hopkinton improved to 6-2-1 on the season, Medway falls to 3-6-1. View highlights below!
