Free Pasta Dinner at St. Paul’s November 28

The November Community Pasta Supper at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 61 Wood Street (Rte. 135) will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 24. All are welcome to this event, which is being supported by the churches of the Hopkinton Christian Service Connection. This pasta supper is held for the community on the last Wednesday of every month.

The meal will feature pasta (gluten free available), vegetarian tomato sauce, meatballs on the side, green salad, bread, beverages, and dessert.
The pasta supper is free, although donations will be accepted.

Warren (4,510), Governor & Lieutenant Governor - Charlie Baker and Karen Polito (5,900), Attorney General - Maura Healy (5,392), Secretary of State - William F. Galvin (5,374), Treasurer - Deborah B. Goldberg (4,965), Auditor - Suzanne M. Bump (4,494).

Question Results: Question 1 - No (5,853), Question 2 - Yes (5,661), Question 3 - Yes (5660).

Memory Cafe Returns to Hopkinton Public Library November 13th

"The Hopkinton Senior Center and Hopkinton Library will be hosting another Our Time Memory Cafe’ event Tuesday, November 13th, 1-3 at the Hopkinton Library, 13 Main Street, Hopkinton, MA. The event is offered for those in Hopkinton and surrounding areas living with forgetfulness, mild cognitive impairment, or dementia and their caregiver, family, and friends.

Suspicious Noise Investigated - Determined to Not be a Threat

On 11/6/2018 at approximately 6:00 p.m. a woman entered the Hopkinton Police Station and reported a ticking sound coming from a mail drop box at the United States Post Office on Cedar Street. Officers responded and secured the area. As a precaution a nearby business was evacuated and Cedar Street was closed to traffic. The post office was not open at this time.

Suspect Arrested After Brief Standoff

On 11/07/2018 at approximately 8:00 a.m. Hopkinton Officers were investigating a stolen vehicle at 19 Hayden Rowe Street. While speaking with a male suspect who was visiting the address, the suspect became combative and attempted to flee. The suspect was able to escape into the residence where he barricaded himself inside. Two other parties who live at the address exited the house without incident.

According to the DPW weather station, the highest temperature reached in Hopkinton October 26th through November 3rd was 67.6 degrees, the lowest was 27.4 degrees. Average temperature during the month in Hopkinton was 47.5 degrees. Humidity was at an average of 85%, the peak was 98% while the lowest was 33%. Wind Speed averaged 2.6 MPH, while reaching a high of 11 MPH. Rain accumulated 3.41 inches last week in Hopkinton. Hopkinton Hillers Sports Update 11-6-2018

-On Monday (11/5) Hopkinton Hillers Girls volleyball swept a talented Shepherd Hill team to advance to the sectional semi-finals. The 3rd seeded Hillers will next take on 2nd seeded Franklin at the Hopkinton Athletic Center. The game tips off at 6pm. Hopkinton High School was the designated neutral-site of the Sectional Semi-Final game.

-The Hiller Girls Soccer VS Old Rochester playoff game originally scheduled for today has been postponed to tomorrow due to weather. The game will start at 2pm and take place at Mass Maritime Academy.
