According to the DPW weather station, the highest temperature reached in Hopkinton October 8th through October 15th was 78 degrees, the lowest was 33.4 degrees. Average temperature during the month in Hopkinton was 61.3 degrees. Humidity was at an average of 84.1%, the peak was 98% while the lowest was 43%. Wind Speed averaged 1.3 MPH, while reaching a high of 7 MPH. Precipitation accumulated 0.44 inches last week in Hopkinton. Free Pasta Dinner at St. Paul’s October 25

The October Community Pasta Supper at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 61 Wood Street (Rte. 135) will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 25. All are welcome to this event, which is being supported by the churches of the Hopkinton Christian Service Connection. This pasta supper is held for the community on the last Wednesday of every month.

The meal will feature pasta (gluten free available), vegetarian tomato sauce, meatballs on the side, green salad, bread, beverages, and dessert.
The pasta supper is free, although donations will be accepted.

Last April's Boston Marathon marked 50 years since the date Kathrine Switzer became the first official female runner to complete the Boston Marathon. Prior to Kathrine running the Marathon once again 50 years later, she was welcomed by town officials and Hopkinton High School and given honorary citizenship, gifts and citations from town officials. Kathrine ran the 2017 Boston Marathon with other members of her organization "Fearless 261" which she created with the goal of empowering woman through running.

Senator Spilka Hosts Annual Health & Wellness Fair for MetroWest Seniors

FRAMINGHAM – On Saturday, October 14th, Senator Karen E. Spilka (D-Ashland) hosted her annual Senior Health and Wellness Fair at the Joseph P. Keefe Technical School in Framingham. Over 200 MetroWest seniors attended the morning event to learn about ways to lead healthy and active lifestyles and enjoy a fun morning out in the community.
