According to the DPW weather station, the highest temperature reached in Hopkinton July 9th through July 16th was 90.4 degrees, the lowest was 56.9 degrees. Average temperature during the week in Hopkinton was 71.1 degrees. Humidity was at an average of 79.6%, the peak was 98% while the lowest was 34%. Wind Speed averaged 0.8 MPH, while reaching a high of 5 MPH. Precipitation accumulated 0.62 inches last week in Hopkinton. Sheriff Koutoujian Welcomes Legislators for Criminal Justice Discussion

BILLERICA, Mass. – Sheriff Peter J. Koutoujian welcomed members of the Legislature and their staffs to the Middlesex Jail & House of Correction on July 10 for a discussion of ongoing initiatives and programs.

The visit was organized in conjunction with the Legislature’s Harm Reduction and Drug Law Reform Caucus and was the first stop on a series of visits planned at correctional facilities across the Commonwealth.

Public Notice: Fire Flow Tests on July 20th and July 22nd May Cause Temporary Water Discoloration

The Hopkinton Water & Sewer Manager, Eric Carty has send out the following public notification regarding upcoming fire flow tests: "Please be advised that two required fire flow test will take place this week. The first is Thursday, July 20th, at approximately 10PM . The Second will be Saturday, July 22nd, in the morning. Because these tests will take place on main transmission lines, customers may notice some discoloration during and after the tests throughout town. Please avoid doing any laundry, dishwasher loads or other water use activities, during this time.

S. Kurt Weissbecker of Hopkinton, MA passed away on July 3, 2017 at his home. He leaves his loving family, Henry Schmidt of the home, his mother Alice Joan Weissbecker of Southern Pines, NC, his brother Mark Weissbecker of Richmond, MA and Southern Pines, NC and his sister Heidi Blake of CT. He was pre-deceased by his father Frank J. Weissbecker in 2002.

The MetroWest Alzheimer's Partnership is an affiliation of the Alzheimer's Association, Massachusetts/New Hampshire Chapter. The Partnership is a regional volunteer coalition comprised of healthcare and human services providers, family and caregivers dedicated to providing education, outreach, advocacy and support for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias and their families and caregivers.
