Video: Hopkins School Egg Drop Competition

Hopkins Elementary School hosted the annual Egg Drop competition. Over the past couple weeks, Students put their science & engineering skills to the test working in teams of 4 to construct a contraption that would keep an egg from breaking if it were to be dropped off a building. Rather than the school roof, this year the Hopkinton Fire Department helped out with their ladder truck.

Senator Spilka Honored as MA Down Syndrome Congress Legislative Advocate of the Year

BOSTON, MA— The Massachusetts Down Syndrome Congress (MDSC) honored Senator Karen E. Spilka (D-Ashland) as the 2017 Legislative Advocate of the Year, in recognition of her tireless support for the Massachusetts Down syndrome community.

The award is an original painting created by self-advocate Michael Avakian of Bedford and was presented to Senator Spilka in her State House office on Wednesday.

This is a great fun, family event sponsored every year by the Barbara Corbett Dobson and Dave Dobson Memorial Fund.

Video: First Annual Hopkinton Multicultural Festival

The Hopkinton Youth Commission in partnership with the Hopkinton Culture and Diversity alliance hosted the 1st annual Hopkinton Multicultural Festival. The festival brought together a few of the many different cultures that make up the Hopkinton community. Attendees got to view native dances, artwork, history and try food from several different countries. View the festivities below!

Video: Boston Marathon Bombing Survivor Roseann Sdoia speaks at Hopkinton Historical Society

The Hopkinton Historical Society and Hopkinton Public Library hosted a presnetation by Boston Marathon Bombing survivor Roseann Sdoia.

Roseann talked about the struggles of overcoming losing one of her legs from the bombing and talked about her life previously and currently. She also read passsages from her book "Perfect Strangers: Friendship, Strength and recovery after Boston's Worst Day".
