This years Hopkinton Town Election takes place on Monday May 15th. Both of the party caucuses will be held, Friday, April 7th in Town Hall. Nomination papers were due in by 5:00 PM on Friday, March 27th and all nominations will be final as of April 11th. CHELMSFORD, Mass. – Middlesex Sheriff Peter J. Koutoujian is pleased to announce a new initiative
aimed at engaging local residents with developmental disabilities.
The Special Citizens Academy is a free, four-week program that will launch April 11 at the Middlesex
Sheriff’s Office Training Academy in Chelmsford. The program is designed for residents ages 18, and
above, with developmental disabilities who have an interest in public safety and learning more about the
Middlesex Sheriff’s Office.
Mary E. (O'Connell) Mooney, 88, of Southborough, a devoted mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 25, 2017. She was the wife of the late George A. Mooney, Jr who passed away in 1984. Mary was a graduate of Hopkinton High School and an Army (WAC) veteran who served during the Korean Conflict. While in the service she was stationed in Germany and Washington D.C. where she was assigned to the Pentagon and marched in President Eisenhowers 1952 Inaugural Parade.

The Theme
You may have heard the expression, “It all starts here.” That is because Hopkinton is known as the starting point for the oldest continuously run marathon in the world. We want to celebrate the heart, courage, and sweat that runners exemplify each year when they give this race their all – running as best and as fast as they can – for 26.2 miles!
Over 50 Hopkinton households joined together in a neighborhood coalition. A letter sent out to numerous town officials including Town Manager, Norman Khumalo, the Board of Selectmen, Planning Board, Police Chief and Fire Chief. The letter from the Coalition stated that it was started to preserve the character of neighborhoods that would be affected by a proposal by developer, Paul Mastroianni which would add 34 new homes on a road that would connect Chamberlain Street and Whalen Road.

ASHLAND, MA – On Tuesday, April 4th, Senators Karen E. Spilka (D-Ashland), Mike Barrett (D-Lexington), Jamie Eldridge (D-Acton) and Cynthia Stone Creem (D-Newton) will host the MetroWest session of the Commonwealth Conversations statewide listening tour. Commonwealth Conversations is an effort to foster civic engagement while helping each Senator learn more about the concerns and priorities of local residents, businesses and interest groups.
View a presentation about Baseball History on Thursday April 6th, 12:30pm at the Hopkinton Senior Center. As the 2017 season approaches, English Professor and Baseball Enthusiest, Jeffrey Skillings from Dean College will talk about many topics relating to Baseball.
Professor Skillings has taught courses that relate the game of Baseball to modern day society and allow students to study the history of America's oldest sport. Hot Dogs will be available for early arrivers.

Kathrine Switzer was born in Amberg, Germany in 1947. She is an American Author, Television commentator and a marathon runner who will be participating in this years Boston Marathon.
