Video: Hopkinton Trails Club Public Forum

The Hopkinton trails club hosted a public forum at the Senior Center. The club was started by a resident named Lisa Jackson and hosts monthly walks along the trails and helps with maintenance and renovation, the Hopkinton area features nearly 20 trails. Hopkinton Trails club member, John Ritz told attendees of the forum all about the club. Hopkinton Kindergarten Registration for 2017-2018 School Year March 27th and 28th

Evening registration will be March 27 & March 28, 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM, in the Center School cafeteria. Computers will be available to access if needed. Parents/Guardians will also have the opportunity to ask questions and ensure the receipt of school email updates.

Please bring a copy of your child’s physical as well as any documents unable to upload. Welcome class of 2030!

According to the DPW weather station, the highest temperature reached in Hopkinton last week was 61.6 degrees, the lowest was 8.1 Average temperature during the week in Hopkinton was 36.2 degrees. Humidity was at an average of 54.6%, the peak was 97% while the lowest was 15%. Wind Speed averaged 3.2 MPH, while reaching a high of 12 MPH. Hopkinton Closings & Cancellations Tuesday 3/14/2017

A winter storm is moving into the area Tuesday morning and it is being reported that the Hopkinton area could see between 12 and 18 inches of snow. The storm is being forecast to start at 7am with the heaviest of snow starting at 9am until 6pm. Forecasters are also predicting high winds and blizzard conditions with this storm. Governor, Charlie Baker requested people to avoid travel tomorrow if possible.

Video: Hillers Girls Basketball 2016-2017 Playoff Run Highlights

The Hopkinton Hillers Girls Basketball team captured the #2 seed in the Central Division 2 bracket. The Hillers started off their playoff run with a home game against TVL rival 7th seeded Medway on Friday March 3rd. Julia Canestari and Ivy Gogolin each struck for 15 points. Gogolin also pulled down 11 boards, Mikayla Pucci also added 13 points as the Hillers took down Medway for the 4th time this season 55-43.

William S. Peaslee, Jr., 90

William S. Peaslee, Jr., a lifelong resident of Woodville and a proud WW II Veteran, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at the age of 90. He was the husband of the late Lois (Hiltz) Peaslee, with whom he shared 66 years of marriage and father of the late Kenneth D. Peaslee. He is survived by his daughter Beverly Mulkey and her husband Robert of Northborough and his son William A. Peaslee and his wife Laurie of Westborough.

Video: Community Members Plan Hopkinton Day

The annual tradition, Hopkinton Day is back and will be taking place the same day as the annual poly-arts festival this year, the date of the event is Saturday September 16th. The event will feature activities for all ages throughout the day and evening and a chance to bring community members together for a great time. Recently members of the community and local organizations met at a public meeting at Hopkinton High School to discuss some ideas for activities.
