Termination of Mandatory State of Water Supply Conservation
January 19, 2017

The Director of Public Works hereby terminates the Mandatory State of Water Supply Conservation, effective January 19, 2017, for all customers connected to the municipal water system. This action is the result of the recent change in drought status to our area, the return of ground water to normal levels, and consultation with officials in the town of Ashland regarding the water levels in the Hopkinton Reservoir.

According to the DPW weather station, the highest temperature reached in Hopkinton last week was 60.4 degrees, the lowest was -0.4 Average temperature during the week in Hopkinton was 29.4 degrees. Humidity was at an average of 73.2%, the peak was 97% while the lowest was 32%. Wind Speed averaged 1.4 MPH, while reaching a high of 7 MPH. EHOP To Hold Public Forum On Traffic And Pedestrian Safety

To kick off the Hopkinton Youth Commission Martin Luther King day festivities, the Michael Lisnow Respite Center battled members of the Hopkinton High School Basketball team. After the basketball game Hopkinton High School Teacher and Varsity Lacrosse Coach, Dan Norton spoke about his volunteer experience and the benefits of volunteering. Winter 2017 registration is now open at The Hopkinton Center for the Arts, offering year-round classes and workshops in the visual and performing arts. Classes are specially tailored for different age groups and interests and are taught by experienced instructors. The HCA is an easy commute from the towns of Hopkinton, Holliston, Milford, Ashland, Upton, Franklin, Framingham, Southborough, Natick, and other MetroWest communities.

Hopkinton High School Students Perform At Central District MMEA Senior High Concert Festival

High School musicians from 64 high schools in the district participated in the 60th annual Central District Massachusetts Music Educators’ Senior High Festival. The 3-day Festival culminated with a concert of all ensembles at Mechanics Hall in Worcester on January 14th.
