COVID-19 Updates & Precautions March 18, 2020 PM update

Town Officials and Emergency Management personnel continue to monitor the rapidly evolving COVID-19 public health emergency. Hopkinton’s Health Department is actively monitoring 25 residents, 3 are confirmed COVID-19 cases and 22 are under direct supervision with the Department. Over the past 24 hours, Hopkinton has seen two new cases, but removed two cases from monitoring. We continue to implement mitigation strategies to reduce the transmission of COVID-19 in the community.

Hopkinton Library Holds Pickup Starting 3/19

The library is making a limited holds pickup service available to Hopkinton residents beginning Thursday, March 19.

Pickups will be by appointment only, and limited to 5 items per pickup. To request materials and make an appointment, you must call the library between 10 am and 4 pm, Monday through Saturday, and speak directly with a staff member. The library's phone number is 508-497-9777. We cannot honor hold pickup requests left on voicemail or submitted by e-mail at this time - please call us between the stated hours.

Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness Updates on Town’s Hazard Mitigation Plan

The Town of Hopkinton was a awarded a grant from the Commonwealth’s
Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness (MVP) Program to create a list of priority
ction items to advance the community’s resilience to projected climate
change impacts and to update the Town’s Hazard Mitigation Plan. In
December, a group of stakeholders met to identify strengths, vulnerabilities,

Hopkinton Town Buildings Closed to Public Until Further Notice

Hopkinton Town Hall, Library, Senior Center, Parks & Recrecreation, and Department of Public Works are closed to Walk-In Business until further notice; ​all offices open for phone and email service​. The Library Will Be Closed To The Public Monday, March 16 Through Saturday March 21

The library will be closed to the public between Monday, March 16 and Saturday, March 21. We are committed to supporting the health of the Hopkinton community and will be using this time to make operational adjustments to accommodate the social distancing recommendations that have released by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.

Community Notice: Covid-19 Update, Closures, Social Distancing

Based on the Social Distancing Guidelines from the Hopkinton Health Department, in collaboration with the Hopkinton Emergency Management Group, and continued assessment of the local impact of COVID-19, the Hopkinton Public Schools, Hopkinton Public Library, and Hopkinton Senior Center will be closed through next week (Monday, March 16th, to Friday, March 20th). All Parks & Recreation programs are also cancelled during this time.
