Hopkinton Garden Club to Present “Container Gardening”, March 17th

By contributor,

Container gardening is the practice of growing plants in containers such as pots, planters, window boxes, and hanging baskets, instead of planting them in the ground. The plants may include decorative flowers, cacti, edible plants such as herbs and vegetables, and small trees. There are numerous advantages to growing plants in containers, namely that movable plants gives more control over moisture, sunlight, and temperature. There is also less risk of weed problems and soil-borne disease.
