“Movie Magic” – An Evening of Songs That Will Lift Your Spirit Sung by Hopkinton’s Adult Chorus, The Treblemakers Wednesday, May 23rd, 7:00 PM

Enter Stage Left Theater presents Movie Magic, performed by The Treblemakers, Hopkinton’s Adult Chorus. The Treblemakers, a vocal ensemble of about 30 members from Hopkinton and surrounding towns, performs twice each year – a holiday concert and a spring concert.

Directed by Richard Romiti and featuring such hits as Someone to Watch Over Me, The Rainbow Connection, Beyond the Sea, Evergreen, and many others, this year’s spring event features songs that will lift your spirit, from movies we love.

WHO: Veterans Inc. will host its 21st Annual Best Ball Charity Golf Classic on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at the Heritage Country Club in Charlton, MA. All proceeds will benefit veterans in need and their families at Veterans Inc.

Richard R. Brault Experienced the Beach Assault of Okinawa in April 1945

The Battle of Okinawa was the last conflict of World War II, and the largest battle of the Pacific Theater. 12.5 thousand Americans were lost (KIA) among a total of 82 thousand casualties including non-battle casualties. During the battle, the world was anticipating an ensuing assault of Japan's home islands. It never happened. The war ended abruptly with the dropping of two atomic bombs.

Free Pasta Dinner at St. Paul’s May 30

The May Community Pasta Supper at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 61 Wood Street (Rte. 135) will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 30. All are welcome to this event, which is being supported by the churches of the Hopkinton Christian Service Connection. This pasta supper is held for the community on the last Wednesday of every month.

The meal will feature pasta (gluten free available), vegetarian tomato sauce, meatballs on the side, green salad, bread, beverages, and dessert.
The pasta supper is free, although donations will be accepted.

A Special Concert Just in Time for Mother’s Day HCA Classical Music Series Presents the Reverie Duo

The Hopkinton Center for the Arts (HCA) presents a Mother’s Day Classical Music Concert, featuring the Reverie Duo, on Sunday, May 13 at 3 p.m. Kathy Burmeister, harp and Christine Tsen, cello, will bring their signature sound to the works of Vivaldi, Henson-Conant, Dvořák, Pachelbel, and Saint-Saëns. Tickets are $15 adults, $10 seniors/students. The concert will take place in the Delbridge Family Performance Space at 98 Hayden Rowe St., Hopkinton, MA. Complimentary coffee, tea, and light refreshments included with admission.
