Hopkinton Begins Search for New Fire Chief

The Hopkinton Fire Chief Search Committee has been formed and held its first official meeting on Thursday, September 10. Members are John Mosher, Hopkinton Selectman; Chris LeClaire, Fire Chief of Newburyport, MA; Norman Khumalo, Hopkinton Town Manager; Maria Casey, Hopkinton Human Resources Director and Bob Levenson, Chair Hopkinton Personnel Committee (Chair).

Hoptoberfest Returns

It's time once again for Hopkinton Public Library Foundation's fantastic fall event, Hoptoberfest! The event will take place on Friday, October 23 at St. John the Evangelist Church Parish Center from 7:30-10:30 PM.

The 3rd Annual fun-filled fall festival and tasting night will feature local microbrews, name brand beers, and delicious food from local restaurants and caterers. Partygoers can also enjoy cigars in a 57-foot mobile humidor, taste spirits in a Hoptoberfest whiskey glass, listen to the Oompah band, and enter the very popular Home Brew contest.

The Water Service Technician not only operates heavy machinery but performs a full range of complex tasks and works within established procedures and/or policies. At this level, incumbent serves as secondary Drinking Water License Operator and works with occasional instruction or assistance.

Registration for the 2016 Boston Marathon Opens Monday, September 14 at 10:00 a.m. ET

Field size will be 30,000 official entrants for the 120th running of event.

BOSTON -- Registration for the 2016 Boston Marathon opens on Monday, September 14, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. ET. The B.A.A. will use the same process to register qualified runners as it used in the 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015 Boston Marathons, allowing the fastest qualifiers to register first.

Registration will be held entirely online at www.baa.org. The qualification window for the 2016 Boston Marathon began last year on September 13, 2014.
