You will learn to:
- view falls as controllable
- set goals for increasing activity
- make changes to reduce fall risks at home
- exercise to increase strength and balance

September Mission Retreat at Fatima Shrine

The Xaverian Missionaries at Fatima Shrine in Holliston are offering day retreats each month on themes for the celebration of Consecrated Life, called by Pope Francis, as well as celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Mission Document from Vatican II Ad Gentes. These retreats will take place at the Shrine on the Second Sunday of each Month giving those who come an opportunity to celebrate the many ways that Mission can be expressed and lived. Come to share the many Mission stories of faith and service.

Town Hall Roof Inspection

To All Residents and Visitors:

Please note that an Aerial Drone is scheduled to be used for a roof inspection of the Town Hall the week of August 31st. Repairs to the roof will follow the inspection and are scheduled to be completed the week of September 7th.

There are no concerns with using the front entrance to Town Hall during the inspection but it may be closed for a short time when the repairs are underway.

All costs associated with the inspection and repairs are covered through an insurance claim.

Roadwork Notice 8-31-2015

Asphalt paving is scheduled on the following streets.

Wednesday September 2nd – Teresa Rd – From Nicholas Rd to Alexander Rd. 7am-1pm
Wood St – From Rocky Woods Rd to the Westboro town Line. 1pm-5pm.

Please expect delays and seek alternate routes when possible. More updated notices will be posted as needed.

The “Dear Hopkinton” Photo Project: What it is and how you can participate

During the Hopkinton 300th Anniversary “Light up the Night” Community Celebration on Saturday, September 12th, we will be offering an interactive photo project called “Dear Hopkinton” for open participation by all members of our community. This project concept was “loaned” to us by Robert Fogarty, the creator of the original project, “Dear World” dearworld.me. Fogarty developed “Dear World” in 2009 following Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans.

300th Anniversary Time Capsule Project for Students - Write your letter to be included!

Hopkinton is celebrating its 300th Birthday this year! As part of the celebration, we would like to create a Time Capsule which will be opened in 50 years. We hope you will participate in this exciting project by writing a letter to your future self. Please put your letter in an envelope addressed to yourself and come to the Scavenger Hunt tent at the Light Up the Night Celebration Picnic on Saturday, September 12, 2015 from 4 pm – dusk behind the Hopkinton Middle School to mail it.
