"Be Disaster Aware, Take Action to Prepare"

During National Preparedness Month we ask you, your family, community and workplace to take action by planning a National PrepareAthon! Day on or around September 30th. We recommend using digital media tools as a way to promote National Preparedness Month, September 1-30th.

What you can do to promote National Preparedness Month:

School Starts Thursday, Speed Limits Enforced

On Thursday September 4, 2014 the Hopkinton Public Schools will be back in session. All School Zone Speed Signs located around the public school entrance have been turned on and are in working order. The lawful speed limit in a school zone during school hours is 20 mph. Hopkinton Police Officers will be out monitoring and enforcing speed limits. With the nice weather that we are experiencing there will be several students walking or riding their bikes to school. The crosswalks around the schools will be monitored and enforced.
