2017 Boston Marathon Invitational Entry Application Process
In accordance with Section 2 of the Hopkinton Marathon Policy, the Board of Selectmen invites applications for the upcoming 2017 Boston Marathon in the following manner:
Invitational entry applications will be distributed to qualified organizations through a random selection that will take place at a Board of Selectmen meeting on Tuesday, December 6, 2015. In order to qualify for the random selection, an organization must fit one of two category descriptions outlined in the Town’s Marathon Policy, namely:
Winter Parking Ban Starts November 15th
The DPW wishes to remind all Hopkinton residents of By-Laws pertaining to the parking of motor vehicles during the winter months.
Traffic Rules and Orders, Town of Hopkinton, Article lV, Section 8 “It shall be unlawful for the driver of any vehicle, other than for an emergency, to park said vehicle on any street between the hours of 1:00am to 6:00am from November 15 through April 1.
Hopkinton Police Roll Out New Cruiser Design
On Friday October 14, 2016 the Hopkinton Police Department rolled out the new design for the marked patrol units. Two newly designed cruisers were purchased as part of the annual fleet replacement program and funding was approved at the annual town meeting. It will take several years until the fleet is fully changed over to the new design.
