The Hopkinton Parks and Recreation commission have been hosting their concert’s on the common series throughout the summer, here’s a look at some of their most recent performances including "Groupo Fantastico" and "Hot Acoustics".

Upcoming performances include: "Din Check" on August 15th and "Jumpin Juba" on August 22nd. Both Performances start at 5pm at the Hopkinton Town Common.

Joseph A. Sergi passes

Joseph A. Sergi, formerly of Dedham, passed away peacefully August 10, 2021 in his home with his loving family by his side. He was a very proud American and a veteran of the United States Navy, serving on his beloved “Haddo” Submarine in World War II and the Korean War. In later years he was instrumental in coordinating the Haddo reunions, which were a huge success. He was the last of the Haddo shipmates.

Have you been crafting during covid? Cleaning out? Selling a product line such as beauty products, soaps, candles, homewares, photography, etc? Have a service or business you'd like to promote? This is a great opportunity to sell your wares locally. All are welcome!

Craft show/swap meet on September 26, 2021 from 10 am - 4 pm at the Woodville Rod & Gun Club. Calling for crafters or vendors to join us. Four inside spaces remaining are reserved for crafters (spaces are 8 x 10 or 10 x 10, $40-50 to include a covered table and 2 chairs).

What is happening

I-90 East and Westbound Travel Lane Closures for Bridge Waterproofing and Paving

The primary work this weekend will be to waterproof and pave the westbound bridge over Woodland Road and the eastbound bridge over Cordaville Road in Southborough and the westbound bridge over Flanders Road in Westborough during overnight hours from Thursday, August 12, to Monday morning, August 16.

Virtual Youth Public Safety Academy program announced

Fire, bicycle and water safety as well as physical fitness will be the focus of this year’s Virtual Youth Public Safety Academy (YPSA), the Middlesex Sheriff’s Office announced today (preview video link).

“We are excited to once again be able to offer a series of online lessons for youngsters living in our 54 cities and towns,” said Sheriff Peter J. Koutoujian. “While we are disappointed we are not able to meet in person this summer, our YPSA staff and community partners have put together an outstanding set of public safety and health lessons for children and families.”
