Hopkinton Public Library: We've gone fine free!

By contributor,

The Library Board of Trustees has voted to make Hopkinton Public Library permanently fine-free for overdue materials! We are thrilled that Hopkinton will join the ranks of the many libraries eliminating overdue fines that may place an undue hardship on patrons and/or create barriers for access. For a number of years, we have forgiven fines for seniors and have held monthly "fine amnesty" days. Now overdue fines will no longer be assessed on late materials for any age, that belong or are returned to us.

Please be advised that due to a utility conflict with the new drains being installed, it will be necessary to shut down the water main on Main Street between Pleasant and Wood St. This will take place this Wednesday, July 21st at approximately 8:30AM and last for several hours. After the water is turned back on, you may notice some air or discoloration and may need to flush your cold water line.
