Hopkinton Chamber of Commerce Urges Support

Annual Town Election will be held next Monday, May 20, 2019, with polls opening at 7 am at Hopkinton Middle School. Four Ballot Questions, each of which received Town Meeting approval, will be on the Annual Town Election Ballot. While all of the questions are important, the Hopkinton Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors is particularly interested in:

Questions 3 and 4, which deal with much-needed downtown parking, especially considering the upcoming Downtown Corridor Project that is expected to begin next Spring and last 2 consecutive construction seasons.

Everyone is invited to take center stage at a new
Karaoke Night fundraiser for the Hopkinton Center for the Arts (HCA). Hosted by KJ Mike
Foley the event will take place Saturday night at 7:30pm, June 29 at 98 Hayden Rowe St. Tickets
are $50 per person and include dinner from Tavolino’s of Westborough, beer and wine open bar,
raffles, and prizes. 21+ event. All proceeds benefit programs and scholarships at the HCA.

Thousands Marching on the State House for 5:00 p.m. Rally for Public Education Funding

BOSTON – Thousands of students, educators, parents, and other supporters of public education are beginning to arrive on Boston Common for a 5:00 p.m. rally and march around the State House to demand passage of bills that would increase state funding for preK-12 public schools by more than $1 billion a year and for public colleges and universities by more than $500 million a year.

Job Posting: Intermittent Laborer

The Town of Hopkinton seeks Intermittent Laborers for 40 hours per week available to work between approximately May 13th through August 30th to perform the following duties:

Lawn mowing
Weed trimming
Miscellaneous property cleanups
Other maintenance-type related duties

Qualifications:
Ability to drive a one-ton dump truck with trailer
Prior experience with landscaping and/or maintenance
Good interpersonal skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions
