The Hopkinton High School Science and Engineering Fair will be held in the high
school library on February 26th. Judging starts at 8am, with the fair open to the
public at noon. The awards ceremony will be in the auditorium at 1pm.

Brian J. Herr announced today that he is running for the United States Senate against Incumbent Senator Ed Markey. Herr released the following statement:
"We have no leadership in Washington, D.C. Our elected officials simply react; they respond; they panic. Then they have hissy fits with each other. And what does that get us? We find ourselves saddled with debt-ceiling fights, continuing resolutions and government shutdowns.
Elections come and go, yet the problems are only mounting. It is time for a new approach, a new way of doing things, a new voice in Washington.

Kathryn A. Moschini, 66, of Hopkinton, passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at her home. Born in Framingham, she was the daughter of Theoni Lazar Bryant of Hopkinton and the late Charles Bryant. She was the wife of Fran T. Moschini of Hopkinton.
Kathryn was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
John W. "Jack" Long, Jr., 55, died of lung cancer January 25, 2014 in Worcester, MA . He was predeceased by his wife, Michelle, who died in 1988.
Jack was the eldest son of Sybil (Chambers) Long and the late John W. Long, Sr., of Hopkinton. He graduated from Joseph P. Keefe Technical HS, became an electrician, then moved to California where he met his wife, Michelle. After returning to Massachusetts, he discovered a passion for computers and had been an IT consultant.
The Planning Board met with Land Use Manager Mark Lowen, attorney Craig Ciechanowski and Engineer Justin Dufresne during their January 27 meeting to discuss a retirement residence at Legacy Farms and a request for reduced parking. The discussion is ongoing and so no vote has been taken on the project.

The Hiller Swimming and Diving Team beat Ashland Thursday night to clinch its 5th straight TVL Championship!! Lead by captains Amanda Karpacz, Catherine Cote, Spencer Franklin, Ashley Windheuser, Samantha Schmman, this year's squad had some incredible meets leading up to the big meet on Thursday. The team now prepares for the TVL Conference meet to be held on February 2nd at 9:00 at Wheaton College, and then many swimmers and divers will be off to the post season to compete in the sectionals an states.
