On behalf of the Select Board, it is with a heavy heart that I announce that our cherished, ever-happy Police Chief Edward Lee, has submitted and the Town has accepted his resignation effective April 3, 2020 - exactly 6 years after he joined the Town.

Library staff continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and work with each other and Town officials to respond appropriately. In accordance with Governor Baker's emergency order on March 23, the library has stopped offering any services that require or encourage residents to leave their homes.
The Massachusetts Department of Public Health has confirmed that COVID-19 is spreading throughout the Commonwealth. There are presently five positive cases in Hopkinton; as testing increases, more cases may be identified in our Town.

Town Officials and Emergency Management personnel continue to monitor the rapidly evolving COVID-19 public health emergency. Hopkinton’s Health Department is actively monitoring 25 residents, 3 are confirmed COVID-19 cases and 22 are under direct supervision with the Department. Over the past 24 hours, Hopkinton has seen two new cases, but removed two cases from monitoring. We continue to implement mitigation strategies to reduce the transmission of COVID-19 in the community.
The library is making a limited holds pickup service available to Hopkinton residents beginning Thursday, March 19.
Pickups will be by appointment only, and limited to 5 items per pickup. To request materials and make an appointment, you must call the library between 10 am and 4 pm, Monday through Saturday, and speak directly with a staff member.
