Enjoy Prom& Graduation Season
But remember, this can be both a wonderful time of year, as
well as a time of increased risk for teens. In fact, the highest
risk of first-time alcohol use occurs in the Prom& Graduation
season.

Here are some ways to keep your family safe:

• Talk openly about substance use with your teen. Be clear
that you do not want your teen to use alcohol or other
drugs. Talk about ways to have fun without drinking or
using drugs.

Due to flooding at Hopkinton Town Hall caused by a broken water pipe on Tuesday April 11th, Town Hall will temporarily be closed down and town offices will be at temporary remote locations. View the announcement and location for town offices below.

It was another great year of the Annual 2.62 mile run/walk in honor of the upcoming 26.2 mile Boston Marathon. Despite a chilly day, the kids were ready to race, check out some scenes from this years Desire to Inspire run/walk in the video below.

The 2016-2017 Division 2 State Champion Hopkinton Hillers Girls Volleyball Team was honored at Fenway Park before the Boston Red Sox game on Tuesday (4/11). The Hillers captured their 2nd state championship in the past 3 seasons and finished 22 and 2 overall with 16 sweeps. The Hillers Swept Notre Dame Academy in the State championship game on Saturday November 19th. Check out tweets from their visit below!

At 5:31pm on Tuesday April 11th, 2017, the following notice was released from the Town of Hopkinton: "Due to an emergency (flooding), Hopkinton Town Hall is closed for the remainder of the day Tue 4/11/17. All scheduled meetings at Townhall including Board of Selectmen are canceled.

Update from Fire Chief is that flooding was caused by a broken water pipe.

Town Clerk has committed to accept voter registration until 8pm at Hopkinton Police Department.

On March 29, a group of students who will be participating in the Relay for Life from Hopkinton High School went to Boston to attend the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network’s annual state lobby day. "This year, more than 2,800 Massachusetts kids will become new daily smokers. These youth advocates are working to change that." They met with lawmakers to urge support of a comprehensive tobacco control bill, which would, among other things, increase the legal age of sale of tobacco to 21.

According to the DPW weather station, the highest temperature reached in Hopkinton last week was 68.2 degrees, the lowest was 28.4 degrees. Average temperature during the week in Hopkinton was 44.4 degrees. Humidity was at an average of 73.5%, the peak was 97% while the lowest was 18%. Wind Speed averaged 1.7 MPH, while reaching a high of 8 MPH. Precipitation accumulated 2.09 inches last week in Hopkinton.
