Jason Hurton, 36

The Winchendon Fire Department mourns the loss of 36 year old Winchendon Firefighter Jason Hurton.
Both Jason and his wife Karen have been members of the Winchendon Fire Department call force for over 3 years. Jason has also served as a firefighter on both the Hopkinton and Upton Massachusetts Fire Departments before moving to Winchendon.
Tuesday evening FF/EMT Jason Hurton was discovered by his wife FF/EMT Karen Armstrong Hurton unresponsive at their home. Despite the best efforts by responding members and Heywood Hospital staff Jason passed away at the Heywood ER.

Bocce Challenge 2015 puts the Hopkinton Police against the Hopkinton Fire Department

Bocce challenge is back! Thursday Sept. 17th at 3pm with a rain date of Friday the 18th at the Hopkinton Senior Center! This year the Hopkinton Fire Department will take on the Hopkinton Police Department.

The library expansion and renovation project continues to gather the approvals needed to break ground this winter. As another public hearing approaches, the project needs your support to keep moving forward as quickly and smoothly as possible! We encourage residents to attend the Planning Board's public hearing to approve the library's site plan at 8:30 pm on Monday, August 24 at Town Hall.

Niche.com, a website that ranks High Schools, Colleges and neighborhoods throughout the country ranked Hopkinton as the 12th best Public High School in Massachusetts and 9th overall for Academics. Baypath Humane Society Dog Bath Charity

The Baypath Humane Society is hosting a dog bath charity on Saturday, August 29. Come to Holliston Meadows Pet Resort, 140 Summer Street in Holliston, with your furry friend from 9:00 AM-1:00 PM. All proceeds will be donated to Baypath Humane Society in honor of Michael Anderson.
