The teen crafternoon originally scheduled for Thursday, February 9 has been rescheduled to Tuesday, February 14 at 2:30 pm.

Students in grades 6-12 are invited to participate in creating something new for themselves or as a gift. Snacks will be provided. We are celebrating the arrival of our new telescope, so the craft this month will be related to astronomy!

Greyhound Friends is renovating their dog kennels to meet the requirements of the Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources. A message on the Greyhound Friends website explains the current situation: "Greyhound Friends Inc. is facing an unexpected challenge at our Hopkinton, Massachusetts Shelter. We are being required by the Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources (DAR) to replace 15 year old kennels which house the dogs individually.

An organization called Safewise, who works to increase home and community safety released the "Top 20 Safest Cities in Massachusetts for 2017" list and Hopkinton is ranked towards the top of the list.

To start the special town meeting, Thomas garabedian opened up his 1st town meeting as town moderator, and welcomed previous Dr. Bruce Karlin to the stage who had some advise for the new Town Moderator. There was also a moment of silence for previous Town Government volunteer and well known personality at Town Meeting, Dr. John Duffy who passed away this past year. Article 2 was then voted to be moved to Day 2 after a motion by the School Committee. Discussion about article 1: Periodic charter review: Report & Recommendations followed.
