Fundraising for the Library received a generous $2,500 gift from the Hopkinton Moms Group to renovate and expand the Library. In recognition of its gift, a table and chairs in the Children’s Room of the new Library will be named for the Hopkinton Moms Group.
Greyhound Friends held their volunteer picnic on Sunday, June 22 as a way to thank volunteers for their hard work and dedication. The picnic was held at Greyhound Friends in Hopkinton. Greyhound Friends is a small non-profit organization dedicated to saving racetrack greyhounds and other hounds who need homes, and placing them in responsible loving homes. I've registered for the Bike MS: Cape Cod Getaway because I want to do something for the people whose MS has been diagnosed -- and because I want to do everything to prevent more people from having to live with this disease. Today, there is no cure for multiple sclerosis, and with diagnosis occurring most frequently between the ages of 20 and 50, many individuals face a lifetime filled with unpredictability.
The weather was picture perfect on Monday, June 16th for the First Annual St. John’s Golf Fundraiser. 20 foursomes teed it up at the Hopkinton Country Club to benefit the continuing restoration of St. John the Evangelist Parish, a 150 year old church, and a Hopkinton landmark.
