Hillers Sports Update 10-14-2016

-Hopkinton Field Hockey improved to 8-3-2 (18 Points) as they took down Medway 3-1. The Mustangs fall to 6-5-2 (14 Points).

-Hillers Boys and Girls Cross Country both got wins over Ashland. The Boys won 21-40, Girls 18-42. The Hillers Boys are now 4-2 on the season, while Ashland falls to 2-5. Hillers girls are a perfect 6-0, while Ashland is 4-2.

Help Fight Cancer at Hillers Football Game

October is Breast Cancer awareness month! You can donate to the American Cancer Society at the ticket tables prior to Friday nights Hillers home football game VS Bellingham. Freshman football players will also be walking around at half time accepting donations. Kickoff between the Hillers and Bellingham is at 7pm from David M. Hughes Stadium. View more about the football fundraiser below. Prior to Friday nights football game, Hillers volleyball will host their annual dig pink match to benefit the Side-Out Foundation for Cancer Research and Awareness in the athletic center at 6:30.

The Hopkinton High School Athletic Hall of Fame 5th Induction Ceremony November 5th

Total of nineteen inductees over eight decades, between 1935 and 2007.

There is a father and son duo being inducted in this class. From the class of 1935, Duncan Hamilton, a star football and basketball player. His son, DP, class of 1967, was a 3 sport standout in football, basketball and baseball.

Hopkinton Volleyball Hosting “DIG PINK” for Cancer Research and Support

The Hopkinton Hiller Volleyball teams will host a DIG PINK match at the Hopkinton High School Athletic Center on Friday, October 14th, to raise awareness of the importance of early detection in the fight against breast cancer.

The Hillers will be facing the Bellingham Blackhawks on this special night. The fun begins at 4:30pm with the Freshman match, followed by the JV match at 5:30pm.

The Varsity match will start at approximately 6:30pm in the Athletic Center.

- Medfield Boys Cross Country edged Hopkinton 26-30 Wednesday. The Warriors improved to 3-2 and Hopkinton fell to 3-2 on the season.

- Hopkinton Girls Cross Country stayed perfect with a 20-42 win over Medfield Wednesday, The Warriors Girls are now 3-2 on the season.

- Holliston field hockey won their 7th straight as they took down Hopkinton 1-0 Wednesday. The Hillers are 6-2-2 on the season, Holliston is 7-1-2.

-Hillers Varsity Field Hockey improved to 6-1-2 on Friday with a 4-0 win over Bellingham.

-Hillers Varisty Football fell to 1-3 on Friday with a 35-16 loss to Norton.

-Hillers Boys Soccer fell to 3-5-1 with a 1-0 loss to Westwood Friday.

-Hillers Girls Soccer improved to 2-3-4 with a 2-0 win over Westwood Friday.

-Hillers Volleyball improved to 9-1 with a 3-0 shutout over Medway Friday.

Hillers Sports Update 9-28-2016

-Hillers Boys Cross Country took down Holliston on Wednesday 21-38 and improved to 3-1 on the season. Despite losing a lot of the team to graduation last year, this years young Hillers are tied for 2nd in the TVL.

-Hillers GIrls Cross Country continued to show why they are ranked 3rd in the state as they defeated Holliston 15-50. The Hillers and Dover-Sherborn are both 4-0 and the only teams in the TVL with undefeated records.

Hillers to Play First Game of the Season at Hopkinton HS. 9/30

After playing their first 2 home games at Medway High School, the Hillers will take the field at David M. Hughes stadium for the first time this season on Friday (Sept 30th). The 1-2 Hillers will welcome in TVL rival, 2-1 Norton Lancers. Drought conditions and needed repairs to the irrigation system for the fields delayed the 1st game at Hopkinton High School, but the necessary repairs have been made and the field restored and ready for Football!
